OVERVIEW
Managing finances in today‘s fast-paced world can be stressful and complicated. Enfineo, a fintech and crypto app, was designed to simplify this experience by providing users with a comprehensive financial solution that integrates banking, investments, and cryptocurrency management in one platform. By offering greater financial freedom and addressing inclusivity issues within the financial sector, Enfineo aims to create a user-friendly experience that caters to a diverse audience.
THE CHALLENGE
Enfineo encountered several significant challenges. One of the primary issues was the complexity of managing multiple accounts. Users were overwhelmed by the number of accounts, platforms, and cards they needed to oversee, creating confusion and frustration. Additionally, the lack of inclusive financing options posed a challenge, especially for low-income users who struggled to access secure and transparent financial services. Another key challenge involved the adoption of cryptocurrency. While many users saw crypto as a valuable investment, few used it as a currency in daily transactions, highlighting the need to improve accessibility and usability for crypto investments.
MY ROLE
I worked on designing both the light and dark themes of the app, ensuring a consistent user experience across both modes. Additionally, I introduced a unified design system early on to maintain consistency and scalability. This system helped streamline iterations, ensured smooth handoffs, and sped up onboarding for new team members.
Research & Insights
USER RESEARCH
We conducted over 20 discovery interviews and multiple rounds of testing to refine our design concepts. Early-stage interviews revealed that security was the top priority for users, and many users preferred to keep fiat and crypto separate.
Key insights included:
Users see crypto as an investment, not as a daily currency.
Flexibility and control over finances are crucial, especially the ability to separate funds for different purposes.
Trust in established brands (such as Binance) and non-custodial wallets were paramount for crypto users.
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
We performed a thorough competitive analysis, comparing competitor flows and user journeys. Insights gained from this process shaped the overall design approach, ensuring that Enfineo delivered unique value:

Solution Design and Approach

The third concept, which offered a clear separation between fiat and crypto, emerged as the preferred option among users. However, the team introduced a unified “Products” tab to allow both worlds to meet when necessary, striking a balance between the product vision and user preferences.
POCKETS CONCEPT
One of the standout features of Enfineo is the Pockets system, which allows users to categorize their assets based on intended use. Users can create Spending, Investment, and Savings pockets, each customizable with different colors and icons. This design solution offers better control over finances, allowing users to allocate funds efficiently.
POCKET EXAMPLE
The innovative design solution of pockets is better than other fintech or crypto apps because it provides a holistic approach to asset management. Users can categorize their assets based on their intended purpose, allowing them to organize their finances and track their spending and savings effectively. Additionally, the design offers a seamless user experience, ensuring that users can easily access their assets.
SAVINGS POCKET
With the savings pocket, users are able to deposit money and set up savings goals. This pocket type‘s automation tools help users increase their savings, and the ability to withdraw funds at any time ensures that users had access to their funds when needed.
Results and Impact
POPULARITY
Although the Enfineo app is still in beta testing and has yet to be fully launched, it has already garnered significant interest. The platform has built a community of over 30,000 users who have subscribed and are eager to use the app. Additionally, more than 3,000 users have participated in staking the ENF coin during the presale, reflecting strong early engagement.
BETA TESTING
One of the standout features, Pockets, has been particularly well-received by beta testers. This feature, which allows users to categorize funds based on their intended purpose, has proven effective in helping users manage their spending and savings more effectively. Beta testers appreciated the control it provided over their finances, as well as the ability to set goals and automate savings. This feedback has validated the holistic approach to asset management that Enfineo strives to offer.
